Hardcopy Ordering

A paper hardcopy edition of the REDUCE 3.5 manual set is available from Codemist, Ltd. It is described in its Preface:

This volume has been prepared by Codemist Ltd. from the LaTeX documentation sources distributed with REDUCE 3.5. It incorporates the User's Manual, and documentation for the User Contributed Packages as a second Part. A common index and table of contents has been prepared. We hope that this single volume will be more convenient for REDUCE users than having two unrelated documents. Although the text has been taken directly from the sources, it has been necessary to make some editorial changes, and so the responsibility for any errors rests with us.
Parts I and III were written by Anthony C. Hearn. Part II is taken from text by Victor Adamchik, Alan Barnes, Chris Cannam, James W. Eastwood, David Harper, Anthony C. Hearn, Fujio Kako, Stanley L. Kameny, Malcolm A. H. MacCallum, H. Melenk, Winfried Neun, Julian Padget, Eberhard Schrüfer, Fritz Schwarz and Rainer Schöpf.
The documentation of Standard LISP, and the two packages GENTRAN and SCOPE, and the network library are not included in this document. They are available in machine-readable form so users who desire can print their own copies.

Notes

Please note that a few of the documents on this server may have been generated from a text version that is different from the one the hardcopy you can buy was printed from, and that the hardcopy contains the most important of the REDUCE 3.5 documents (the User's Manual and the User Contributed Packges' manuals except the GENTRAN/SCOPE manuals for high-quality code generation), but not the minor or new documents included on this server.

On the other hand, some of the documents available on this server may have been rendered incorrectly by the automatic conversion process, so that in these cases at least, reading the paper hardcopy is safer. In fact, it may well be cheaper and faster to buy and read the hardcopy than to retrieve the several thousand files making up the translated document set.
