This shapefile was produced from data for 29 stations. Some information attributed to Katima Mulilo was collected just |

compilation: |
across the Zambezi River at Sesheke in Zambia, and some information from Alexander Bay in South Africa was used for |
|
|
Oranjemund, just across the Orange River. The polygons making up the shapefile were created from hand drawn |
|
|
contours on a hard copy map. This manual interpolation approach was done by Peter Hutchinson using the point data |
|
|
from all available stations. Because the number of stations was small an automatic interpolation produced nonsense results. |
