Draft Instruments for the Law of Outer Space
Preface
Space law has been codified to a surprisingly great extent, if
one compares it to other, much older branches of international
law. However, since the Moon Treaty failed to achieve a wide ratification
record, the growing practical and diversified interests of states
have made international codification of space law much more difficult
and only "principles" could be agreed upon regarding
certain limited areas.
In this new environment it
may be useful to make available in this collection the Draft Instruments
for the Law of Outer Space which have been elaborated by or with
the Institute of Air and Space Law of the University of Cologne.
