General Information

The „XIX. Tage der Seltenen Erden (Terrae Rarae 2006)“ will take place from November 29 to December 2, 2006, at the Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry of the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. The 2nd “Berichtskolloquium” within the “DFG-Schwerpunktprogramm 1166 (Lanthanoidspezifische Funktionalitäten in Molekül und Material)“ will be part of the conference. The sessions on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning are reserved for members of the “DFG-Schwerpunktprogramm”. These members will also be independently invited by the DFG.

The tentative program structure is as follows:
On November 29, 2006, we will get together at 17:00 h. After the official opening of the conference, the winner of the Terrae Rarae Award 2005, Prof. Dr. Gerd Meyer, Universität zu Köln, will give a lecture followed by an invited talk, after which there will be a poster presentation (posters should be up the whole duration of the Conference) and a buffet dinner in the Cafeteria in front of the lecture hall. On November 30, 2006, there will be a morning session (9:00 - 12.30 h) and an afternoon session (14.00 - 18.00). In the evening the Terrae Rarae Award session is scheduled, followed by the conference buffet. On December 1, 2006, there will be again a morning and an afternoon session (9.00 - 12.30 and 14.00 -17.45, respectively). In the evening (18.00) there will be a bus transfer to the inner city of Oldenburg. A visit of the atmospheric Christmas market is strongly advised, and at 20.00 we will met for a social event in the restaurant “Franziskaner”. The conference will end on December 2, 2006, after the morning session (9.00 - 12.30).

There will be no conference fee. The social event on December 1, 2006, is at one´s own expense.

Contributions, both oral and poster, are welcome. Please use form "registration“. Together with that form we ask for an abstract (see sample abstract for formatting etc.). Deadline for the submission of abstracts and for registration is November 1, 2006. Proceedings will be provided to each participant free of charge. It might be possible to publish a number of (referred) short communications in ZAAC (Zeitschrift für Anorganische und Allgemeine Chemie).
