Hotel Arcadia

We highly recommend you stay at the Hotel Arcadia, as this is the site of the conference. We have organised budget priced accommodation for all conference participants, in shared motel style accommodation. The cost is $140/night/room (share up to four/room). You should contact the hotel to organise bookings either by phone (+61 (0)7 4778 5418) or by email (motel@arcadiavillage.com.au) and inform them you are part of the Rare Earth Conference 26-29 July 2016 (and mention my name). It is recommended that if you organise groups of two or three or four in advance you can share room facilities and this will help keep costs down.
If you prefer to stay in house-style accommodation (with full facilities)
then we recommend you contact the local agents (http://www.visitmagneticisland.com.au/holiday/Availability),
where it is possible to get houses from approximately $100-150/night
upwards. Many of these houses can sleep up to 8 people.
If you do prefer
the latter, please ensure you stay in Arcadia Bay or
Geoffrey Bay as these are within walking distance of the
conference site.
