In collaboration with other ISPRS WG and related organizations the following activities are planned:

• Co-organizing the International Conference "Impetus - Global Change in Africa - Projections, Mitigation and Adaption", Cologne, Germany, June 2nd - 5th, 2009. >>Details
• In collaboration with ICA, ACM, IEEE, organization of an International Symposium or Workshop on LBS and digital mapping.
• Launching a web page of the Sub-WG on LBS as a part of the WG, and make it the research community space to communicate and organize topics on LBS and digital mapping.
• Launching a web page of the Sub-WG on SDSS as a part of the WG, and make it the research community space to communicate and organize topics on SDSS and SPSS.
• Organizing a workshop on Integrated Assessment and Decision Support Systems in the Netherlands, jointly with the ITC-Unesco Center for Integrated Surveying.
• Organizing the ISG 2009 - International Symposium and Exhibiton on Geoinformation & ISPRS Symposium on SDSS and LBS, jointly with MacGDI, AIT, UTM, UiTM, USM, and ITC, Kuala Lumpur, August 10th - 12th, 2009. >>Details
• Organizing  a basic DSS-LBS training workshop for the Asia Pacifics region These activities will be held in collaboration with UPM/AIT/ITC or UNESCAP
• Joint ACRS-ISPRS special session on Spatial Decision Support System and Location Based Services.
• Together with ISPRS WG II/6 organizing a joint session on DSS and LBS in the International Congress on Modeling and Simulation will be held in Cairns, Australia July 13–17th, 2009.
• Together with ISPRS WG II/6 organizing a joint session on Support systems for Planning and decision making in the bi- annual Spatial Sciences Conference in Adelaide , Australia .
• Joint workshop with ISPRS WG VII/5 in Cologne, fourth quarter 2009

• In collaboration with ICA, ACM, IEEE, organization of an International Symposium or Workshop on LBS and digital mapping.
• Organizing a special workshop on DSS_LBS and uncertainty modeling in Iran, jointly with the ISPRS WG II/IV
• Organizing  a basic DSS-LBS training workshop for the Asia Pacifics region These activities will be held in collaboration with UPM/AIT/ITC or UNESCAP
• Organize an International Symposium on Geoinformation, jointly with MacGDI, AIT, UTM, UiTM, USM, and ITC.
• Contribution to mid-term Symposium ISPRS Technical Commission II
  Theory and Concepts of Spatio-Temporal Data Handling and Information
• Together with ISPRS WG II/6 organizing a joint session on Support systems for Planning and decision making in the bi- annual Spatial Sciences Conference in Adelaide , Australia .
• Joint ACRS-ISPRS special session on Spatial Decision Support System and Location Based Services.

• Together with ISPRS WG II/6 organizing a joint session on Support systems for Planning and decision making in the bi- annual Spatial Sciences Conference in Adelaide , Australia .

 

Publications

Conference and Workshop papers will be compiled; possibly selected papers will be published as a special issue in the ISPRS Journal, Asian Journal of Geomatics. In addition publication of 2 volumes on S patial Decision Support Systems in Theory and Prac tice is planned.
