The Paneth-Kolloquium ( Who was F. A. Paneth?) is held October 12–14 (2005) in the historic town of Nördlingen in the center of the Nördlinger Ries meteorite impact site with a diameter of ~20 km.

The Paneth-Kolloquium is a small meeting that brings together students and researchers from different fields of cosmochemistry, planetology and astrophysics.
In particular young researchers (master- and PhD-students) are encouraged to submit their contributions. Their contributions are essential for the success of the colloquium, which provides a platform for practicing how to present talks and discuss results in front of an international scientific audience.

Traditionally, the Paneth-Kolloquium is held in those years in which the annual meeting of the Meteoritical Society is held outside Europe. In 2006 the Meteoritical Society Meeting will be held in Zürich. The Paneth Kolloquium following the meeting in October therefore will be organized in 2007.

The 2005 Paneth-Kolloquium is organized by Jutta Zipfel (MPI Mainz), Herbert Palme (University of Cologne)and Andreas Pack (CRPG/CNRS Nancy).

Abstracts will be available for future access in form of a web archive.

Contributors are invited to submit short abstracts with outlines of their presentations. In order to facilitate the editorial work, we have prepared a template file for Microsoft Word®. We have prepared a RTF-file for users of other word processing software. The abstracts must be submitted as Microsoft Word (preferred format) or as RTF-files, respectively.

Users of type setting programs like LaTeX can submit their abstracts directly in PDF-format. Formatting details are given in the downloadable instruction file ( PDF-file, 504 kByte).

Please submit abstracts before the deadline via e-mail to the organization committee.
