Scopes of the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry

In the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry patients with predominantly prosthodontic requirements are examined, advised and treated. According to the diagnosis as well as patient request, specific case profiles are screened through special consultations to be integrated into the course for tooth replacement or receive a treatment by specially trained dentists or by other qualified dentists.

Patients who need an integrated dental treatment concept will be referred to other dental departments within the faculty (dental surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontology &/or orthodontics) before the patient is eligible to receive prosthodontic rehabilitation care.
