PAGES is a research project concerned with adult literacy skills. It focuses on the development of literacy skills in adult learners who have German as their first language as well as in adult learners with an immigrant background who have German as their second language.

PAGES is a network project in cooperation with a number of academic and institutional partners (see below). The linguistic subproject “Developing literacy” is concerned with investigating the linguistic prerequisites for literacy skills and with the acquisition and development of basic reading and writing skills in adults. We collect longitudinal data on adults’ literacy development and we also offer teacher trainings and workshops.

The project is financially supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany.
