Libraries
There is a common library for General Linguistics and Historical-Comparative Linguistics. The Institute for Phonetics has its own library.
General Linguistics & Historical-Comparative Linguistics Library
Opening Hours during term: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. (A notice will be posted in the event of irregularities in the opening hours.)
The library is a reference library. The terms of the library regulations apply. In the library there are two computers which may be used for research.
Phonetics Library
Opening hours during the semester: Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and by appointment.
The Phonetics Library is a reference library. Students may use the copiers of the Heilpädagogische Fakultät or one of the nearby copyshops.
The Universitäts- und Stadtbibliothek is also available to students. The KUG (Kölner Universitäts-Gesamtkatalog) may be used for online research. This catalogue comprises many of the departmental libraries of the University of Cologne.
