The soil potential map was derived from the original soil map provided by Marina Coetzee of the AEZ project of

Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development. It is based on the assumption that polygons where the dominant

 

 

soils are chromic Cambisols, haplic Calcisols or eutric Cambisols have no constraints for agronomy. Polygons with

 

 

associated soils which are chromic Cambisols or haplic Calcisols are given an intermediate classification. All other polygons are excluded.
