Dear Friends!

For the eighth time, the International Nights and Days of Animation Cologne, INDAC, will open here in Germany to present every aspect of animation, its past, present and future for everyone.

This time we devote the festival entirely and for the first time to the work of a single studio.

We think that there are few artists like those at STUDIO GHIBLI.

Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and their fellow animators brought joy, laughter, tears and emotion together with a wonderful world of fantasy to their audience. They pushed the ability of animation into new heights that will be hard to achieve for the rest of the world. At the same time they helped to inspire animators around the world to work in the field of animation.

For the very first time, most of Studio GhibliŽs work will be presented as a retrospective in Germany.

We are proud and glad to present those wonderful masterpieces at INDAC 2002/03 from February 2nd to February 12th.
