How to get to the University Maps

By car
From Düsseldorf/Neuss: Take Autobahn A57 to its end in Cologne. Leave it turning right towards "Lindenthal". Follow the "Innere Kanalstraße" and, after about 4 kilometers, its extension, the "Universitätsstraße". The street passes below the university's main square, "Albertus-Magnus-Platz", marking the center of the university.
To get to the University Clinic turn right at "Bachemer Straße" and follow the signpost "Uni-Kliniken".
From Oberhausen: Take Autobahn A3 to the interchange "Köln-Leverkusen". Follow Autobahn A1
towards Aachen. At the interchange "Köln-Nord", follow Autobahn A57 towards "Köln-Zentrum" to its end in the city. Leave it turning right towards "Lindenthal". From Wuppertal: Take Autobahn A1 to the interchange "Kön-Leverkusen". Follow Autobahn A1 towards Aachen. At the interchange "Köln-Nord", follow Autobahn A57 towards "Köln-Zentrum" to its end in the city. Leave it turning right towards "Lindenthal". From Bonn: Take the A555 to the interchange "Köln-Süd". Take the exit to the right and the A4 towards Aachen. Take the exit "Köln-Klettenberg". Turn right towards Cologne ("Köln"). You are now on "Luxemburger Straße" (B265). After about three kilometers you take the loop-exit, effectively turning left into "Universitätsstraße".
The street passes below the university's main square, "Albertus-Magnus-Platz", marking the center of the university.
To get to the University Clinic take a left turn before that at "Zülpicher Straße" and follow the signpost "Uni-Kliniken".
From Koblenz: Take the Autobahn A1 to the exit "Frechen". Turn right into "Dürener Straße" towards Cologne (Köln). Follow the "Dürener Straße" until it ends at the "Universitätsstraße" intersection. Turn right into "Universitätsstraße". The street passes below the university's main square, "Albertus-Magnus-Platz", marking the center of the university.
To get to the University Clinic turn right at "Bachemer Straße" and follow the signpost "Uni-Kliniken".
From Aachen: Take the A4 to the interchange "Köln-West". Follow the A1 in the direction of Dortmund, but leave the A1 at the very next exit, "Köln-Lövenich". Turn right into the "Aachener Straße" towards the city center. Follow the "Aachener Straße" for about five kilometers. Turn right into "Universitätsstraße". The street passes below the university's main square, "Albertus-Magnus-Platz", marking the center of the university.
To get to the University Clinic turn right at "Bachemer Straße" and follow the signpost "Uni-Kliniken".
By rail
From "Cologne Central Station" ("Köln Hauptbahnhof/Hbf.") take the No. 12, 14, 16, or 18 underground/tram to the "Neumarkt" station. At the "Neumarkt", take the No. 8 or No. 9 tram "Sülz") to the "Universität" tram stop, or take the No. 136 or 146 bus to the "WiSo-Fakultät" bus stop. To get to the University Clinic, take the No. 9 tram from "Neumarkt" and get off at the "Lindenburg" tram stop. You can buy a ticket on the tram if you have change, or before asscending to the
platform at the ticket booth.
Travel time from central station to the university campus is about 17 minutes.
You can also take a taxi from the Central Station. The price for the taxi ride is about DM 20.
From the train station "Köln Deutz/Messe": Take tram No. 9 direction "Sülz" and get off at "Weyertal" (7 stations; it takes about 13 minutes; trams leave every 10 minutes.

By air
From Köln/Bonn Airport (CGN): The No. 170 bus from the Airport to "Cologne Central Station" ("Köln Hauptbahnhof/Hbf.") leaves every 15 minutes; from there take the No. 12, 14, 16, or 18 underground tram to the "Neumarkt" tram station. At the "Neumarkt" station, take the No. 8 or No. 9 tram ("Sülz") to
the "Universität" tram stop, or take the No. 136 or 146 bus to the "WiSo-Fakultät" bus stop. To get to the University Clinic, take the No. 9 tram from "Neumarkt" and get off at the "Lindenburg" tram stop.
Travel time from the airport to the university campus is about 45 minutes.

From Düsseldorf Airport (DUS): Take the No. 7 local train (S-Bahn) to "Düsseldorf Central Station" ("Düsseldorf Hbf."); from there take any train (German Railways, Deutsche Bahn AG) to "Cologne Central Station" ("Köln Hbf."). From Cologne Central Station take the No. 12, 14, 16, or 18 underground tram to the "Neumarkt" tram station. At the "Neumarkt" station, take the No. 8 or No. 9 tram ("Sülz") to the "Universität" tram stop, or take the No. 136 or 146 bus to the "WiSo-Fakultät" bus stop. To get to the University Clinic, take the No. 9 tram from "Neumarkt" and get off at the "Lindenburg" tram stop.
