Hg. von Cornelius Mayer, Basel, Schwabe, 1996. ISBN 3-7965-0989-4. Die CD-ROM-Ausgabe beruht auf einer neuen Zusammenstellung der jeweils besten verfügbaren Ausgabe. Zusätzlich sind "sämtliche Zitate" nach ihrer Herkunft ausgewiesen, das Gesamtœuvre "linguistisch aufbereitet" (lemmatisiert) und um eine bibliographische Datenbank der Forschungsliteratur erweitert. Der Link zielt auf eine Informationsseite zum immer noch laufenden Projekt.

Die bereits gedruckten Bände sind teilweise als PDFs verfügbar (z.B. aus Reihe VII). Reihe VIII (Naturwissenschaftliche Schriften) soll als Hybrid-Edition (Buch und Online) fortgeführt werden. Die Editionsmaterialien aus diesem Bereich kontextualisierend werden in Wolfenbüttel außerdem "Texte der Leibnizzeit" digitalisiert.

Hypernietzsche "is a kind of research matrix that creates a virtual workspace". Das Projekt bringt Quelldokumente ("Public Archive") und (neu entstehende) wissenschaftliche Texte zu Nietzsches Werk ("Open Publishing") zusammen. Konzeptionell steht hier weniger Textkritik und kritische Edition im Vordergrund als vielmehr ein hoch organisiertes, auch semantisch erschlossenes digitales Archiv unter dem Paradigma des Hypertextes. Insbesondere die Notizbücher sind aber diplomatisch genau transkribiert, partiengenau mit den Abbildungen verknüpft und können in verschiedenen Textstufen (markup, diplomatisch, geglätteter Text) dargestellt und synoptisch verglichen werden.
Der Eintrag ist inzwischen historisch. Diese Ausgabe scheint nicht mehr verfügbar, die Adresse leitet weiter auf nietzschesource.org.

Kritische Gesamtausgabe Werke. Berlin/New York, de Gruyter, 1995ff. Den Bänden der Abteilung 9 (Der handschriftliche Nachlass ab 1885 in differenzierter Transkription, hg. von Marie-Luise Haase und Martin Stingelin) ist jeweils eine CD-ROM beigegeben, die vor allem Faksimiles des Materials, Querverweise, Stellenkommentare und Konkordanzen enthält (z.B. Band 1, 2001, ISBN 3110161788; Band 4, 2004, ISBN 3110161796; Band 5, 2005, ISBN 3110180480). 1994-1997 war bei de Gruyter bereits eine CD-Rom mit dem bis dahin erschienenen Gesamtwerk publiziert worden: "Nietzsche Werke: historisch-kritische Ausgabe", ISBN 3110148277, 3110145537 (Windows); 3110148269 (Macintosh). Das Projekt bietet einen elektronischen Volltext nach der ersten Druckausgabe von 1496, zusammen mit englischer und italienischer Übersetzung und Kommentaren. Inhaltlich bietet die Ausgabe neben Faksimiles einen tief ausgezeichneten Text, aus dem sowohl eine diplomatische Fassung, als auch eine normalisierte ("reading"-) Version. Diese bietet voreinstellungsgemäß die jeweils letzte Textfassung, es können aber auch frühere Varianten angezeigt werden. Die CD verwendet Folio-Views zur Darstellung der Inhalte und ist immer noch lieferbar.

"Ziel des seit April 1997 bestehenden Projekts ist die Publikation der textkritischen Edition von Huldreich Zwinglis sämtliche Werke auf CD-ROM. Neben allen Zwingli-Texten (mit ihrem textkritischen Apparat) bietet die Publikation zusätzlich Abbildungen der wichtigsten Handschriften und Deckblätter der Erstdrucke.
