Welcome
I am currently working as a research and teaching associate at the University of Cologne (Germany). I've been teaching courses on computational linguistics, corpus linguistics and computational tools applied to translation studies.
Background
Before coming to Cologne I received my Masters Degree in Natural Language Processing with a thesis entitled: "A Supervised Machine Learning Method for Word Sense Disambiguation of Portuguese Nouns", supervised by Dr. Constantin Orasan and Dr. Jorge Baptista.
Research Interests
I am interested in studying language using computational methods. In my masters degree I applied supervised machine learning algorithms for ambuiguity resolution. During my PhD, I am working with large-sized corpora and automatic resources for linguistic research in Romance Languages, namely: Portuguese, Galician and Spanish. You can find a list of my publications here.
