Academic career during your studies

At the University of Cologne, enrolled students without a first professional qualification can be employed as student assistants (SHK) for scientific support tasks. After successfully completing a bachelor's degree, there is the possibility of being employed as a research assistant with a bachelor's degree (WHB).

The SHK position is intended to give students their first insights into the working methods of a chair or scientific institution during their studies, thus providing them with access to scientific thinking and methods.
