The Vice-Rector for Research is responsible for the strategic advancement of excellent research at the University of Cologne. In collaboration with the Faculties, she is responsible for formulating and shaping the university’s research profile. As the responsible member of the Rectorate, the Vice-Rector’s focus is on the identification and promotion of promising research initiatives at all levels and scales. She also supports the external evaluation of major projects and manages the Excellent Research Support Program of the University.
