This shapefile depicts the extents of the catchments of the perennial rivers flowing into Namibia. Note that, for any

rivers which flow through other countries (e.g. the Zambezi) after entering Namibia, the catchments do not continue.

 

 

This is because the focus for this figure was primarily on water coming into Namibia. The catchments were defined by

 

 

tracing a watershed line in between the network of tributaries of each of the perennial rivers.
