on behalf of the iBehave Coordination Office, I would like to draw your attention to the next lecture of iBehave Seminar Series 2025 by Silvia Arber on May 14, 2025 at 17:00.

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Silvia Arber

Biozentrum and Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, Basel, Switzerland

Title: 'Generating movements with brainstem circuits'

Host: Prof. Dr. Graziana Gatto University Hospital Cologne

Date and Time: May 14, 2025 at 17:00

Location: Lecture hall 0.024 on the ground floor of the Biocenter (Building 304), University of Cologne, Zülpicher Str. 47b, 50674 Köln

Zoom meeting link: Please ask by zoologie-neurokoll@uni-koeln.de

Abstract:

Movement is the behavioral output of the nervous system. This talk will focus on recent work elucidating the organization and function of neuronal circuits central to the regulation of distinct forms of body movements, including locomotion and skilled forelimb movements. It will show that dedicated circuit modules in different regions of the brainstem and their interactions within the motor system play key roles in the generation of diverse actions.

All interested scientists are welcome to attend this event.

Kind regards,

Giulia
