LEAD! 2025/26 Summer School

From 25 to 29 August, DAAD scholarship holders of the Leadership for Africa programme will gather in Cologne for a week of academic exchange, leadership training, and intercultural dialogue. 

 The International Office of the University of Cologne was selected to offer LEAD! an accompanying programme for all scholarship holders with a focus on governance, sustainability and job market readiness. The Master's students come from various African countries and take part in the ‘Leadership for Africa’ scholarship programme to complete an international Master's programme at various German universities. 

The programme at the University of Cologne will feature keynote lectures from renowned professors, networking on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and a Micro Model African Union simulation. Workshops and intercultural training will strengthen participants’ skills, while alumni will share personal insights into leadership journeys. Highlights will include the African Union debates, presentation of joint resolutions, and a festive group dinner.
