Annual GAIN Conference and Talent Fair 2025

August 29th-31st | Boston, Massachusetts

The German Academic International Network (GAIN) is the network of scientists and researchers of all disciplines from Germany, working at leading research institutions worldwide with special focus on the United States and Canada. It is a joint initiative of three major research funding organizations in Germany, the DAAD, AvH, and DFG.

GAIN helps its members maintain and build their international networks, facilitates transatlantic mobility and cooperation, and informs about career and funding opportunities as well as recent developments in science policy in Germany. Every year GAIN invites its network of researchers from Germany currently abroad and international researchers interested in opportunities in Germany to the annual GAIN conference.

Besides UoC Rector and DAAD President Prof. Dr. Joybrato Mukherjee, the University of Cologne will be represented by Prof. Dr. Ines Neundorf, Vice Rector for Academic Staff, Claudia Arntz, Director Research Management, Prof. Dr. Graziana Gatto, Professor of Neurobiology, and NY Office Executive Director Dr. Eva Bosbach.

This year's GAIN conference will also feature the workshop "Individuelle Karrierewege in der Wissenschaft – aktive Gestaltung von Karrierephasen und Übergängen unter Berücksichtigung von Fördermöglichkeiten", hosted by the University of Cologne and moderated by Dr. Eva Bosbach
