Cologne Duquesne Summer School in European Law
The Duquesne University School of Law has been organizing the „Cologne Summer School Program“ at the University of Cologne annually since 2011.
American law students are introduced to European Law in seminars and workshops at the University of Cologne and the Sorbonne University in Paris.
After completion of the program, the majority of the students continue their stay by participating in internships at German law firms and corporate legal departments. CUSL students also benefit from the Summer School. Every year law professors from the Duquesne University School of Law offer seminars that can be credited in the CUSL-program.
In 2011 CUSL students could participate in Professor Gina Warren‘s US American Energy Law seminar. Professor Michael Granne held a seminar entitled European Clients in US Courts in 2012. Professor Susan Hascall offered a unique Native American Law seminar in 2013. Professor Laurie Serafino gave an overview of a topic that has been heavily discussed in the news with her Internet Privacy seminar in 2014.
