The Cluster of Excellence ECONtribute has been jointly supported by the University of Bonn and the University of Cologne since 2019. All research activities are brought together under the umbrella of the joint Reinhard Selten Institute (RSI).
The research focuses on markets at the intersection of economics, politics, and society. Researchers from disciplines such as economics, business administration, psychology, ethics, and the social, political, and legal sciences aim to better understand challenges such as global financial crises, rising inequality, and political polarization, and to develop recommendations on how policymakers can respond to these challenges in an evidence-based manner.
ECONtribute is currently the only DFG-funded Cluster of Excellence with a focus on economics and related disciplines.
