Our project has been mentioned both in academic and non-academic media. Actually, the so-called ›third mission‹ is an important concern of our project: Informing also the broader public about fan mail in the 1910s and how the film fan came into being, thereby creating popular interest in the silent age, its research and its sprightliness.
