›Harlekin‹: »Valdemar Psilander. Filmens Kainz og de 2000 Breve« (København, 4th of March, 1913, p. 1)

»– Savner De aldrig Publikum, Bifaldet og Fremkaldelserne?

– Nej.

»Don't you ever miss the crowds, the applause and the calls?

No, I don't. Besides, I know that people are now beginning to applaud me – and the lack of an audience is quite compensated for by my mail ... Out at the film theatre and in my home there are piles every day ... I get about a thousand letters a year from all parts of the world asking for pictures, or autographs, with an invitation to a pleasure trip in the company of the female letter writer ... I get letters in Russian and Chinese ... My wife reads them all ... it is her best novel reading ...«

Niels Th. Thomsen: »Hos Valdemar Psilander. Den danske Costello« (Filmen, 1st of April, 1913, p. 169)

»– Surely you receive many testimonies that you are known all over the world ... both in the form of letters ... and offers from foreign companies?

– Yes, that can't be avoided, smiles Psilander. The letters, which are often addressed to the Royal Theatre, I don't want to talk about. They are almost always about the same thing: They are from ladies who want a photograph or an autograph …

– And you let them suffer?

– I never answer.«
